I have some good news to share with you. On May 1st, I am having knee replacement surgery to correct years of abuse from delivering the mail. I am excited to finally take the leap. I have fulfilled this month's commitments, now it is time for me to prepare. The recovery is going to be rough and long but being able to travel and maneuver in and out of airports (I have since changed positions) without significant pain in my knees is going to be wonderful.
Which leads me to the real reason for writing this post. I will be away for a while. Sitting at my desk for long periods of time to blog will not be possible during the rehab period (at least 4 weeks, maybe more - I'm not honestly sure) There are many variables to my recovery, everyone is different. But I want to be back to blogging as soon as I possibly can. I will miss the creative outlet while cursing and screaming like a truck driver at the physical therapists who will be pushing me to bend my new knee in ways unimaginable.
So, to be fair, I know my sponsors have long waiting list of bloggers who want a spot on the team, so I will relinquish my spot since I will be gone for at least a month. It is the right thing to do. I have been with them all for years, some brands since their beginning (dare I say 2013). We've grown together. I'm so proud of us! I hope that when I am ready to return, you'll consider having an opening for me back on the Team.
For my subscribers who follow my blog faithfully, I am grateful and will be reading your posts when time permits. I'll be routing for you!
And to my snoop, who has been to war and battled with his own recovery. Cheers to us! We are warriors... Until next time...
Wishing you a speedy and complete recovery and good health overall. Knees are kinda important for human movement, so need to be treated well. Much too complex and fancy joint for the task. But it is what it is, we gotta live with what we got. My bro-in-law just got an ersatz knee – he’s fukn happy with it.
I hope it all goes smoothly and you can be back soon! Sending healing and calm energy!
